Adobe premiere hates my PC

I need a simple video editor for my PC to post 30-180 second videos on the web. I already have the capture card and the mini dv camera but my adobe experiences are causing things in my apartment to become airborne...

Adobe is an excellent program. But when it does give trouble it can be a beast. Have you tried formatting your hard disk and putting Premiere on a clean installation of Windows?

What capture card did you get? They usually come with some video editing software ...from Pinnacle's Studio to Canopus's EZEdit (see my profile)

Pinnacle is a nice little editor. I would look into that if you have given up on premier.

I got pinnacle with my capture card but apparantly I can't import an mpeg from my disc. It has to come exclusively from my camera? I am buying my camera in 2 weeks and I wanted to get familiar with my editor of choice but I can't even seem to import a clip to practice on. ****?

Studio can import MPEG files from your hard disk. In fact it's pretty much a matter of drag and drop. How are you trying to import? What type of clip (and format) are you trying to import? Or are you trying to "capture" from the hard disk? What error messages do you get? You'll need to be a bit more expansive in your explanations vinnybop.

I think by some coincidence the 1st handfull of clips I tried to import were corupted. I'm on my way now and no longer feel so poweroid. Thanks Mac Attack!
