What would cause this?

I just made a site that has animated gifs that gives the effect that flash does on a very low level. However, some people are not able to see the animated gif's. What would cause this? And I don't think that they have "view images" turned off on their browser. Otherwise they would not expect to see them.

This sometimes occurs when a users cache is full - ask them to try deleting temp internet files

OK. Thanks. I'll have them try that.

Assorted proxies and filtering tools, including Proxomitron, the one I use, have a 'turn off animated gif's' option. You just get to see the first 'frame' and no more. Makes for a far more relaxing surf.

IE also has an option for turning off animations. It's located in the Tools>Internet Options>Advanced (tab)

Make sure "Play animations on web pages" is checked.

OK. Thanks.

I'll have them try both of those as well.
