How to create banners that pull down a menu

I am very interested in trying to track down the code for creating a banner advertisement that pops up further information when the user hovers over the graphic.

Specifically speaking, I saw a banner advertisement for "the PurplePill" and my mouse happend to roll over it and then the ad spawned a full paragraph of information. That banner advertisement caught my eye because it presented additional information about the product without me having to click on the link.

Does anyone know how this is facilitated? I look forward to your replies. - Bradley

you can use dhtml code and in your banner software put that code as *html* (or other available option) banners, and serve banners. It should work alright :)

My business partner has Dreamweaver, no Flash.

With Dreamweaver you can create a layer that becomes visable when you rollover the banner element. I think the one you saw was a Flash movie. You don't have to use flash though.

Here is a tutorial on how to make Flash pop out over the content. You may be able to take the dreamweaver instructions to use it for basic html.

I'm not sure if what you are referencing is what I am looking for. What I saw was a banner ad - and once you hovered over it, it brought up an HTML form..... The form could be filled out by the user and submitted.............. I'm still trying to find a live example of this.
