How do you get photo shop to show you the pixel position the curser is at in an image.. like the way paint shop pro does in the lower right of a screen?

I need to cut an image in half at an exact pixel position.. i would do it in PSP but it always seems to leave a little 1 pixel empty line behind...

Make sure that the Navigator/Info palette is open: Window>Info

Then on that palette use the Info tab and look at the x/y and w/h shown near the bottom.

Go to Window->Show Info; I believe the "Info" tab usually appears in the same toolbox as "Navigator." In PS 6 it displays the cursor's current pixel X and Y values, RGB and CMYK colors, and the combined maximum width and height of any areas selected with the crop, transform, marquee, etc.

As for cropping, you can use numerical values. IIRC in PS 5.5 and earlier there is an Edit->Transform->Numeric option, and in PS 6 and 7 you can enter width, height, and angle values in the Options bar.
