I'm doing a flash splash page, I made this meter witch is sepose to move with a music playing, I have music that starts at the first frame. I have a symbole called "script". I have the following action witch is working with my microphone but I'm looking for a script witch will work with the music that started on the first frame.

Current script :

thesound = Microphone.get();
this.attachAudio(thesound);
volume = thesound.activityLevel;

If you need any more information to help me please post them!

I am not sure i understand what you are saying. You have music that starts on the first frame and you want a script to fire off symbol motion on the first frame?

I wasn't sure ether if it was clear :D um...

Maybe if I write it like this it may help you to help me :D :

1. On my first frame I start music from my library. I don't start that music using an action script, I start it using the "Click on frame and select sound" feature.
2. On my project I have a sound meter witch is seposed to move with music.
3. I have a script that makes the meter move with the sound of my microphone(See first post for that scirpt) but I need a script that can make the sound move with the music that started on the main frame.

Overall : I want a script that can "capt" the sound of the music and not the microphone..

To respond to the quote :

I am not sure i understand what you are saying. You have music that starts on the first frame and you want a script to fire off symbol motion on the first frame?

You have music that starts on the first frame : Right!

you want a script to fire off symbol motion on the first frame? : Not sure, I want a script to make the meter move with the music on the first frame.

I have really not had much experience with this. Hopefully someone else may. Have you looked at the usual flash tutorial/script sites?

kingkelly, he's trying to create sort of a virtual sound meter in flash, that will 'read' a music file the animation plays... kinda like the light display on a stereo equalizer unit.

Glad I got it right, but unfortunately, I haven't the foggiest idea how you'd actually go about doing it. :( Flash is not my area of expertise...

Have you had any luck looking at the big flash resource sites?
