Adobe has asked the court to declare that Adobe's popular Acrobat product does not violate certain provisions of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) as claimed by ITC and Agfa Monotype.

Seems everyone is popping up with copyright issues on the web. This could hurt PDFs.

That's ridiculous... if I can use a font in a magazine ad, or on a billboard, etc., etc., why not a PDF? I can't think of any reason why they'd be any different than any traditional mass-media usage.
