Saw my first reference to PS 7 in an earlier post. I'm using PS6. Is v7 a must have or just a so-so upgrade? What the good, the bad and the really ugly (if any)?

It is a must have for Mac OS X users... First native version.
Other than that, I've heard it has a number of significant enhancements over 6, but haven't really looked at the details. I hear the "save for web" compression functions have improved...

Check out MacWorlds March Issue, maybe Feburary. They had a fairly indepth write up about the new PS7. It tells you all about the new features and reviews.

A review from Computer Arts Magazine Workflow features are improved. The major addition is file browser. No need to open an extra ACDsee. 1- "Healing Tool" A new cloning tool that preserves shading, lightning and texture. Completely idiot-proof. 2- Patch tool. Do a selection over a good area. Move it ove a bad area. PS does the rest. 3- Ýmproved Free Transform tool. 4- New Auto Color command. A quick color correction method. 5- A spell checker in the edit menu.
