hi
i have this weird problem - i have a pdf file from a customer that i need to modify slightly (add 1 word) but when i try to type something i get this error message "All or part of the selection has no available system font. You cannot add or delete text using the currently selected font." The original font is Myriad-Roman. I can edit text if i change the font to, say, Tahoma, but when i save the file size becomes 1.4 MB (320KB originally). I am really lost here, can anyone help?

Why not try using Adobe Photoshop to add text to it?

Do you have Myriad Installed - it's a Mac system font.

Without it you are a bit screwed - the photoshopo idea is an option but I think it would rasterise the PDF incresing the file size and reducing quality. Can you get the author to edit it?

Try making your change to the PDF file and then re-destill the file. Sometimes when you use the Save-As feature within Acrobat is increases the file size.

I've had success with redestilling the file.

Yeah re-destilling really worked, the file is 112KB now. Thanks a lot guys.
