I have to use a specific font for a project that is an .OTF file. However, it wont load in photoshop. Is there a way to convert it?

Thank you

From this page: [studio.adobe.com...] -- it seems that Adobe is a bit confused about their own OTF support.

OpenType advanced typographic features are supported
in Adobe InDesign® 2.0 and Adobe Photoshop® 7.0

Adobe InDesign (all versions) and Adobe Photoshop 6.0
and later support OpenType advanced typographic features.

What version of Photoshop are you wrestling with?

7.0

But after 5 hours of searching the web and tryin to figure it out.. I went with a different font.

I read somewhere that Adobe and others were going to phase out TTF fonts for OTF. not sure if theres any truth to that though.

I read that as well -- I also read it's a pet project of MS to develop these cross-platform fonts. But I think any phase out will necessarily be a very long-term process.

Very curious that you couldn't get Photoshop 7 to recognize the font. It's supposed to be automatic.
