We have a significant number of digital photos in our Archives (10,000 ish). At the moment our library is far too labour intensive to maintain because we uses printed thumnails in reference folders. It's also badly organised as it is only listed alphabetically (and you have to be faily intuitive to guess the image content!)

So....

Does any one know of decent software that will allow image tags, thumnail views, advanced search etc.

We were also thinking about selling the collection online, so maybe something we could integrate with an e-shop?

Cheers, limbo.

Limbo,

Sounds like you are looking for Cumulus, it's made by Canto.

That does seem strange, I just scoured their site and the only way I could find pricing is by filling out a form and requesting someone to contact me.

I bought my copy at a trade show years ago.....

Downloading the trial version - hope it's what we need, but in the mean time...

Does any one have experience with a half decent online image catalogue that could be used within an intranet environment as well as the web?

All the code/packages I have seen are a bit shabby or need alot of work...
