How not pixelling?

I never had, before today, a need for a 100 pix height alpha character.

I am not a logo designer but even if used only for draft purposes I need to enlarge a character up to 100 pix high
I cannot do it without pixelling in such a way that the contour looks like a “bunch of stairs”

Any special character to d-load?

Any technique? What is the trick?

Thanks

Is there a specific reason this letter (or word I assume) cannot be an actual graphic (i.e.- .jpg, .gif)? My suggestion would be to create a .jpg of the word and use alt text.

Well it is
The reason is probably due to using Jasc text capability as my text base
I have no needs for PS not being heavily involved in graphics
I usually team up with specialist but I wish to draft something that for the immediate won’t hurt my aesthetic sense ):

You can download "the Gimp" for free. It is a very good open-source PS-esque program.

Just last night I used it to make a few 100 pix high words for a site I am working on.
