I'd like to completely turn off anti-aliening in Photoshop CS as when I export images to the web the image deteriorates versus if I can avoid anti-a I don't have to worry about deterioration as all I need are five colors.

It doesn't sound like anti-aliasing is the problem. You should try different export settings in Save For Web.

I have found these settings to work well in exporting Gif's:
Palette=Selective
Dither=Diffusion at 100%
Lossy=0
Colors=256
web Snap=0%

hope this helps...

If at first you don't succeed, go to the guy that worked before. I went in to illustrator and manually sized the image so I would not need to resize it in Photoshop which was causing the image to take on additional colors. Without having to use any tools I saved a 211x400 px image as a 2.3KB GIF. ;-)
