I have a client with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 that does not have a manual. She really only needs to resize and optimize images for internet presentattion, and probably won't use it for much else. She can already resize, but needs the steps for getting good optimization.

Can anyone here tick off the steps to optimizing images for internet use with Elements 2.0? I'll need to give her the full Step 1, Step 2...

The easiest way to do this is:
File ¦ Save for Web...

That will give you plenty of simple web optimization options in simple drop-down menus.

Thanks. That was pretty much my guess, but I definitely wanted to hear it from someone that could do more than just guess.

I'm recommending that she go pick up a book anyway. One of two good tips pays for it.

The help menus in the Elements series are sufficient. I don't think you need a book for the type of work you described.

bill - Ordinarily I would agree, but in this case the client is 2,500 miles away, and my 'general' instructions aren't quite doing the trick. She may respond better to the addtitional perspective that a book on the progam might offer.

She really wants to do some things herself, and the site budget is a factor as well.

What kicks me is that I know that I have a copy of that program around here somewhere, and it's not like me to lose track. Probably I gave it to some other deserving person:))
