A quick question for the photographers here.
I want to take pictures of products and have them on a white background.
Can i do this with a simple white sheet? I want to do this as cheap as possible really.
My camera is a Olympus mju400 Sould i turn the flash off?
Thanks for any help on this one :)
Using a white sheet is one way of doing it - to get a good result with it I would get in close to the subject and close down the apperture to reduce focal range so that any detail in the sheet (folds shadows etc) are blurred. This technique tends to boosts the focus in the forground too.
You'll probably need a tripod or a bright day so the risk of camera shake is lessened.
Alternatively use 'blue screen' and remove the colours you dont want in photoshop with a selection tool and feather.
