I have a photogrphic studio's site I am currently under production with. They take panoramic shots amoungst other things, and want to display examples on line. They do all the stitching work and supply the image ready

Anyone got experince using VR software and can recommend PC solution, Apple's Cubic VR gives great results, but I dont think this available for PC platform...

any advice or experince shared would be appreciated.

hi zack,

there are some good flash solutions out there which guarantee compatibility across OS and browsers.

Jamie Hi

Any chance you could sticky me url to any of these
The only one I came across was in flash hacks book, which I didnt understand and inolved slicing the image up into strips. thing is I need if possible to get an all round movement, up down left and right.

I used to work with 360 images in Ipix. They worked on Mac and PC.

We use Ipix on a PC. Have also used QTVR in the past - Ipix is far better.

Thanks for the recommendations

I had a look at Ipix, looks good

Did you get the developers version of Ipix?
Is is relatively easy to use?
Did you customise your own interface, if so was it relatively easy to do this?
Also what was the image preperation that had to be done before hand?

I have photos supplied to me already stitched..

iPix is really quite eay to use. It can also output QTVR format (or at least it could a year or so ago when I was playing with QTVR). but I believe that the images have to be taken in a very specific way: Two 180-degree fisheye shots for a 360, or or one for a 180-degree panorama.
