Quicktime Streaming

Does anyone know how to stream Quicktime Files?

I'm trying to add a quicktime .mov file to a website.

The Video production company supplied me with a streaming file but said when they created the file the software was looking for the streaming server location. They did not know what to put in so they left it blank.

When I check the web page with the embedded file it does not play until it has been downloaded completely.

Can quicktime be streamed over a standard Unix server or does special software need to be installed?

I am a bit rusty since it has been a while so my terminology might be outdated but it basically goes like this . . .

When you create the streaming file it actually creates two files, one is just an image with a path to the streaming file on a QT streaming server. The other is actually the QT movie file. Since they left the "poster" file blank, it will not know where to find the movie file. Here is some more documentation from my host which runs a QT streaming server:
