Try searching for "download fonts" on a search engine.

None of the Major Font providers (free and commercial) list "François Bold", though i know for a fact it exists.

Thank you for the intuitive suggestion but i already did all kinds of web searching before posting here

The thing is that most fonts were designed offline 100 years ago, and have been adapted for use digitally - but you cannot copyright a font that is in public domain, so the designers change it slightly and make a variation of the source name in order to be able to copyright it.

ie, a public domain offline font named Swiss might become "Geneva" or what have you.

Anyhow, you might want to try looking through the font companys' inventories and seeing if you can find a similar looking font, even if it isn't a 100% match for "francais" or whatever - usually they are so similar as to be effectively indistinguishable.

Try posting a request in the alt.binaries.fonts Usenet newsgroup.
