Freehand 10 vs Illustrator 10

Forgive me if this has been discussed in the past, I'm new here. I've been using Freehand for years now and while I have access to Illustrator, I much prefer Freehand and stuck with it.

I was wonder what most people feel about Freehand? I know it's not the 'industry standard' like Illustrator. And I should mention that I the last version of Illustrator that I used was 7, so maybe it's completely different now. I just find that Freehand had a friendlier user-interface for whatever reason. Will it be pretty easy to switch from Freehand 10 to Illustrator 10?

It's a good question, but I am guessing from a web design point of view you want a tool that looks and feels like the others in your toolbox, and almost all webdesigners I know use Macromedia. Should be interesting to see what kind of loss/gain there will be after the Adobe 'aquisition'.

I like FH10, very smooth, logical and integrates well with FW and Flash. I design logo's as a hobby and sometimes when I'm lucky I get to do them for money, given the choice I prefer to get it all sussed in Freehand. We have Illustrator CS (here at work - Came bundled with PShop CS) but I rarely use it, not because it isn't fantastic (it is!), but I haven't spent as much time using it... sheez,I only just got to grips with the node control in FH.

Another thing that makes me prefer FH is that I have it on both PC's and the MAC and at a home - so for cross platform web/print design it's quicker - the same would probably be said for Illustrator but it's simply more expensive...
