I am trying to make the cover for a brochure and I want to make the images transparent I believe. I have two photos and I want them to be transparent so that i can see both when they are overlapping. I have opened them both in separate windows, created a new image then pasted both of them in the new image.

I pasted tham as transparencies but nothing happened. I am using PSP and cannot figure this out, any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

If you put each image as a different layer, you can control the capacity of each layer separately. I am using PSP7.

Oops! Should have said Opacity. My software is in French - sometimes gets confusing.

Make sure the layers control panel is open: if not click View¦Toolbars¦Layers Palette.

Paste the image you want into a new layer, select this layer on the layers palette, and move the slider to achieve the degree of transparency you want.

I've been playing with it all day, it is great. I think the new adobe image program is much better but I used the same idea and i love it. Thanks for the help.
