kind of hard to explain, ok lets say I have a blank background in Photoshop 500x500 and I place a car or something in the background that is only say about 200x100, I know I can trim the edges of the canvas to make the car just fit, but when I save it and open it I can still see the white background behind the car, likewise with a transparent background. my questions is: how can I save am image and just have that image period, no background whatsoever... for example, take the magic wand and select the white background, now reverse that selection and you have just the car, right? Ok I want to take just THAT selection and save it with nothing behind it. I hope this is making sense, thanks.

When you have removed the background - save it as a gif (save for web) with transparency box ticked.
