I am looking for books I can pick up when I am nosediving for inspiration. Could be an anthology of poster designs, a collection of the most cutting edge webdesigns, good typographics or just a collection of photos, so anything really.

Do you have one or two lying around that you find help with creativity? Books only please, no websites - I want to have them next to me in the office.

I subscribe to Communication Arts. I find that it's diverse subject matter is an inspiration for just about anyone working in a creative arts field. It's expensive, but it's a quality publication.

What I do is whenever I see a brochure, ad, flier, pamplet, etc. that I like the design of I save it in a giant folder. Over the years I've amassed quite a collection. When I'm looking for inspiration I leaf through those and something usually hits me.

For websites, I just do screen captures of pages I like.

Cheers folks. I had thought about magazine subscription before now but it is quite expensive. I have found a few books whilst browsing the local book shop that look pretty tasty -xdcp, the one you mention looks good.

Faltered, I do a similar thing with note books. I have volumes of ideas, doodles, squiggles and notes. They are good for reminding me of forgotten moments of inspiration but they are mostly all my ideas. I'm gonna start adding others' too.

Niceone.
