Please forgive me, I am horribly new at this...

I have been using Photoshop for several years now, and just recently have begun to explore the options of Image Ready. I am having some trouble deciding which is the best way to display an animation to stream continuously through the site (it is a series of photos fading in and out). As of now the whole page itself is an animation (even though I have divided it into slices); however when the rollover states for links are activated, the photo animation stops, only to restart from the beginning when the mouse moves back to the center of the page.

I realize that my problem may lie with the rollover states. The animation frames for my rollover states do not include the photo animations. How can I separate these so the photo animation will stream regardless of which rollover state is activated?

I have considered using Image Maps, but the Adobe Help file has lead me to believe that using an Image Map as an animation would not work for all browsers. I have the background (with links) saved as a separate page, and the animation saved as a gif. Unfortunately, I have found no way to just "paste" an animation into a page.

I realize this is a little long-winded, but I figure more information is better than not enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Ameryl
Could you not use an iframe for the body, to seperate the page elements?
Just a thought

Um... an iframe? If that is an option in Image Ready I am not sure what it does or how to get to it. Thank you very much for the welcome! I appreciate your help, it will certainly assist my efforts in learning more about making web pages.

You'd have to edit the outputted html to include an iframe (page within a page), but I'm not entirely clear on how your page works. Best thing would be to copy the code to the HTML and Browsers forum, and ask how to put the part that you want in an iframe. Someone will fix you up I'm sure.
