Video conversion software

convert anything to .wmv or .mov

I'm looking for some software (ActiveX/DLL) that will take any format movie, and stream it into WMV or MOV (if user is on PC or Mac platform).

I have a user base that will be able to upload any videos (size capped), then once they are uploaded, you can stream them on the site via the software.

Is there anything out there like this? Or is there a better idea?
