Can anyone tell me the best place to buy Royalty Free photos for use on the web? About a year ago I was able to get some good quality travel shots for only $29.95. I need some more and can only find them as chaep as $49.95. Did prices go up?

You could try Comstock and istockphoto.
Sure there's more but I can usually find what I want there.

istockphoto.com seems to get a lot of recommendations here in the forum.
If you want selection and reasonable prices for royalty-free stock photos, see Shutterpoint photograhy [shutterpoint.com]
I am shutterpoint member myself, let me tell you from experience, the prices at shuttterpoint are the lowest.

Go to a good magazine retailer and pick up a copy of Communication Arts Magazine, or one of the other Graphic Design magazines and you'll find lots of advertisements for RF Photos for download, at surprisingly reasonable prices.

I've been using Photos.com for about a year and a half now and have been really happy with their services. They add new photos pretty regularly, and downloads are practically unlimited when you pay flat membership fees.
