I'm trying to put together 3 songs with a number of images for a friend of mine on a slide show that will play on an overhead projector.......for his wedding.
I know there are a number of choices
1.Flash
2.Quicktime pro
3.Powerpoint
As anyone out there any experience of this?
It would be nice for the image show to sync with the songs in the background.
Any info would be great,
KInd Regards

My advice would be to get a cheap video editor ($29-$99) and insert still .jpeg's, etc. and put a music track on it and use a projector to show it.
It's very common and works quite well, easy to use and you have a lot of control and can have some very nice effects.
Furthermore, you can burn it to VCD and give it to them as a gift and they can watch it again and again in the future!
1. Select which pictures you want in a slide show and put them in a folder.
2. Click on the huge, easy to find "Create Slide Show" button.
3. Choose which song(s) you want the slide show to have playing behind it and you're done.
You can also export slide shows in various formats (including a DVD) if you want to share it with others. And because it's made by the design folks at Apple, the quality is amazing.
Here's the iPhoto page at Apple:

Here's the page where they talk about making a slide show:

If you have a Windows PC, I've heard great things about Picasa as a Windows alternative to iPhoto.
Powerpoint sounds feasable. (I've never done this either)
Would I be presumptous in saying that it is possible to synchronise the 3 songs with the slide show so that, it starts with the first song and ends with the last song?
I suppose I won't know until I try!
Thank you everyone for your help, what a great forum.
Kind regards
Barry
We only paid about $70 for ours and it saved us the trouble of scanning the photos and messing with PowerPoint. Turned out great with music.
