hi all,

not even sure how to word this..

i often go to kinkos (printer company) and have my graphics printed out and mounted on posterboard. these are usually no larger than 8 x 10, or whatever size i happen to take in. i would like to create an image or layout that spans about a foot wide and 3 feet high. i am most comfortable working with pixels and keeping images at 100% view while working on them. but with higher resolutions and working with my monitor set at a res of 800 x 600, it becomes very difficult to work on a graphic.

ive been working on pagemaker (7.01) for layouts. i could use some advice on basic settings i should use while working that will make it easiest to render at the printers.

tia!

Hmmm...any reason your monitor resolution isn't set higher? It would make it a heck of a lot easier for you even if you went up to 1024x768....

honestly? because i go blind :) the squinting gives me a headache, plus i don't care for the added screen space between image and toolbar, etc. i do occasionally increase my res for specific purposes, but 8x6 is where i am most comfortable.
