Watermarking images

in Fireworks MX

Having a few problems trying to watermark images that we have in the office, using Fireworks MX.

Looking for a very faint grey text.

Anyone help me? :)

can you not decrease the opacity of the font text?
You can do this in image ready.

as jimbo said, try reducing the opacity of the text overlay (increase transparency).

i prefer ais watermarker for marking images, in the case you are interested in a prog that is for that specific purpose.

I would suggest that you use a feint emboss also.

Watermarking should be applied so the image cannot be altered and reproduced easily. By adding a translucent text you will still allow people with a good knowledge of PS or FW to remove the changes you have made to the image.

You can also tag the image with data. I have doe this once but have subsequently forgotten :)
