I haven't tried it yet - still on 7. For those who missed it, the CS is the new version (upgrade from 7). So it's PS 8 - has anyone else tried it?

I always find that when I change (like from 5-6) I want to go back for 6 months, then I have three good months and then they bring out a new version. I've been doing this since number 3 and I'm getting a bit tired of it... I'm not shelling out for this one unless I hear some serious talking up - 7 has pretty much everything I need (and enough that I don't).

I had missed this and will have to read up on it.

Some of the main new/enhanced features seem to be:

Color Replacement tool

Non-square pixel support

Customizable keyboard shortcuts

Text enhancements

File Browser enhancements

Comprehensive 16-bit editing

Integrated Camera Raw support

Match Color

Layer comps

Metadata enhancements

PDF presentation

Crop & straighten photos

Histogram palette

Lens blur

Shadow/Highlight correction

Photo filter adjustment layers

Photomerge

Picture package layout editor

I am especially interested in the raw camera support which was an add in for v.7

Sounds interesting.

I've been using it for a couple months now, just as good as the old one with a few of the abovementioned features - the only thing you have to be careful about is that a few of the keyboard shortcuts have changed but after a couple days 'getting used to it' one can be back up to 'whiz' speed again : )

...on the side, I can only speak for Mac, but it seems to manage memory muuuuuch better than 7.0. Can be crucial if you have a heavy workload.

My two centimes, hope I reassured you,
