Hiring a Salesperson

Has anyone here ever hired a salesperson to help with sales of their business?

If so, were they technology oriented? What kind of training did you give them, etc?

We hire sales staff all the time to sell internet services. We give preference to those who have had internet experience in the past, but most need training. It will save you a lot of trouble if they are already familiar with windows, e-mail, word, excel, etc.., however.

In the end, whether the person was successful or not depended on his/her drive to learn and make sales, not their history of selling internet products.
