i have a great job designing sites, and the moneys o.k.
however, im only on a fixed term contract, and there seems to be some question over whether there will be any money to renew that next year.

im kind of toying with the idea of setting myself up to do a little freelance on a part time basis, with a view to going full time next year if i have no job :(

im just wondering if ny one else has any experience of this - i.e. working full time hours, and then doing freelance in the evenings/weekends.

how do you deal with things like client meetings and phone calls?

is it worth it?

any one whos been in a similar position and has any advice - it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
ben

answerphone and email. Be upfront so they know beforehand. Be prompt with emails etc. Take days off to do your own stuff. Arrange meeting late evening or weekends.

Yes, good way to get going, and when people come back to you it is worth it.

You might be suprised at just how many WebmasterWorld members got started this way.

ukgimp said it right. Make sure they know what to expect from you.
