Question about database services

Hello,

I designed and built my business website about a year ago. I am not a professional but I did put much effort into making the site interoperable and making sure it validates. I also get a small percentage of Netscapte visitors so I tested for that environment as well. My site has a tiered design with static product pages. Currently I have four product lines with a total of 60 individual products. I add new designs routinely.

I have taken a database class and had hoped to use this knowledge to create a database driven site. Now that my site is getting increasingly more traffic and my sales are picking up I'm finding it harder to update the product pages due to time constraints. I also am working to optimize the site for my keywords, etc.

I'd like to post something in the classified section but first wanted to know if it's possible to have someone do the initial database and if I could do the updates. My webhost is WebAxxs and they do offer database software as part of my monthly fee.

Thanks for any advice.

Yes, usually a database is tied into some type of software like PHP or perl which accesses and controls it. Generally this software offers an easy way to update the data in the database from an administrative standpoint. Sticky me if you would like to talk numbers.
