Are any new sites being listed?

ok, I am being told by various sources that google has not been able to post any new sites over the past few months. I know google is having problems, but does this mean we should no longer submit new sites?

24-48 hours is about average, you need the links in to get noticed.

Looks like your sources were wrong SSguy - Google will spider your site and include it in the index. It can, however, take a month or so for this to happen. Try to get some other sites linking to yours and a DMOZ directory listing and it will be picked up sharpish.

look for sites that the freshbot visits, you might as well feed freshie while you wait.
