Help me understand the "food supplement" industry

How does it all work?

How do these online food supplement and pharmacy businesses work? (I prefer individual opinions than any marketese from promoters.)

e.g. Laws - where is it legal and where illegal

Are most of them cookie-cut sites? (I noticed that a search of some unique slab of text from one site shows up thousands of sites.

How do the players find such businesses, i.e. why don't they roll their own?

Are they competing with each other, or do people buy a handful of sites?

What do the individual owners need to do to run the business, i.e. fulfillment, transactions?

Why are some (many?) hosted on machines that host businesses that require their owners to remain shadowy?

(I am not planning to enter this game - just trying to understand it for now)

When you can make $300 to $500 a day or more why would anyone answer these questions. There are niche markets all over the www that you could find and get the same answer.

I'd like to be more helpful but I can't - sorry

ADDED
It is advisable to buy insurance to protect yourself from any possible litigation arising from a persons use of the products. If you can't find an insurance carrier that will accept the risk, don't sell it.

Ta. I've built web sites since early 1994 so I know there are all kinds of niche businesses. A lot of this supplement business is illegal in my jurisdiction so I am not remotely interested in joining it.

Not sure what to make of that.

Just trying to understand this specific industry.
