Hi,
I had optimized a commercial website last month and now it lists in the top 10 of Google and the rest, but the client has just stopped responding. He had promised me payment of SEO fees in the first week of May, then said he'd do it in the last week and now no reply to my emails or phonecalls.

As an overseas provider, can anyone help me with what my options are? The client is in Ca, USA.

thanks
Vishal.

Most simple way out is charge clients upfront, but since the issue is the work is already done and you have not got paid - forget it as a bad dream! if its an amount worth the lesson OR else pick up some/all of the above suggestion...

I had experince this once while working with a company in Delhi...and i can stick you what I did to get my money back :)

If he is around - he might die of shame LOL

I agree 100% with fathom. Never do any harm to the client no matter what. I have been in a similar situation when client did not pay the last instalment. One fine day .. 6 months later .. he had some problem .. he called me and I told him that I will look into it *very soon* ;) .. the cheque was in the next day. Solving the problem was a 30 second job. Though I have never done any more work for him again .. that is purely by choice... The best thing that I got was "no negative publicity".
