Hello everyone,

we are a small team of people developing an alternative
gaming website in the UK. Currently we are in the early development stages, and before we commit our selves even more on this, we want to be certain that our concept will not cause us any unexpected legal/regulatory complications when we launch the business.

We wish to consult on this a legal expert but we face the following difficulties:

1) Our very low budget means that legal fees are a problem.

2) We wish to formalize our rights on our idea before
telling any one else. How do we do that? (e.g. a confidentiality agreement with a lawyer?)

3) We need a legal adviser whose expertise is relevant to gaming, gambling & financial services regulations. Where do we find him?

thank you for reading this.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

I would say start out to read a lot, and i mean a lot on the internet, pretty much everything when it comes to this kind of laws is published on government sites.

And if i understand you right you want to get a patent on the game?

Check it up at the patent office in the UK, i think you can't take a patent on Source code (far from %100 sure though)
