He's a good client so far and has also hinted to let me work for additional site of him because of mine doing some minor changes for him for free, which might have cost him had he got done from someone else. Should I ask him for additional charges for adding more pages or I should do it for free hoping to get more business from him?
If any member is faced with similar situation, which option would you normally go with?
Just explain that when you offered, you were thinking along the lines of a few pages, but 400-500 is a lot of work, and you have other clients and itll take time ......

If you work for nothing then work will have no value.
If you want to delve into the psychology of it look up Festinger's theory of cognitive dissonance ;)
There are of course limits and at the other end you should always ensure good value for money.
I've known many small companies who have attempted to work for next to nothing to get larger contracts. None are still in business!
