Can anyone shed some light on what steps they follow and the necessary info the get
from clients when making a quote. Do you charge by hour or by task required?

fashezee, is this for web design and development, or for search engine optimization services? Or both combined? There can be differences in the procedure and information needed, depending on the type of services you're offering.

Also, in addition to the information we need to get from them in order to submit a quote or proposal, we have to decide in advance how much information we're willing to divulge to them.

It would be for a web site development project . I have client that would like a site
such as autotrader dot com. The site must also be optimized for search engines.

How much would a site like this go for;

- optimized for searh engines
- online payment system
- database mySQL
- search capabilites
- advertiser module; post your ad up
.....
