not sure if i am allowed to post this company name so its the one as my homepage....i noticed it prefixed a lot of search results on google and wondered who they are and what they do..its some sort of redirect i can see...but it gets indexed and im confused!

yep....the site in my profile...they just seem like a redirect service...but i dont understand what they are or the point!....type click.fool.com without the www. and u end up at www.fool.com.....plus a check of my firewall and i see ten other connections opened....?...not sure if im allowed to name the site like that..guess i will find out if it gets edited!

Some sites use cgi redirect URLs to track the visitors they send to advertisers.

If the URLs are /robots.txt protected then Google has no content to index at these addresses, but they do have good inbound links so it just lists the URL.

They are a large financial site. Like ciml said they are probably using the sub for tracking.
