Dear all,

I have started a web site recently. I receive raw log files from my hosting service and I want to do the following with these files:

1) get a complete list of names (reverse DNS) of hosts that accessed my site (raw logs contain only their IP addresses)

2) sort this list by domain names (i.e., right-to-left sorting), like

abc.com
cde.com
...
abc.net

Could you suggest a software that can help me doing these two things?

Thank you,
Vladimir

Hi vlad,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld. Hope you like the place.

Analog is some free software you can download to use on your computer. It can take a few hours to configure if your not familiar with it, but will do what you need and a lot more in a jiffy.

Feel free to lurk in the tracking forum [webmasterworld.com] or to use the site search [searchengineworld.com] feature (top menu) to get it all really fast.

Good luck!
