Hi,
I am opening a small web-hosting company and looking for a free (or very very cheap) control panel. Any Ideas?

If there are no major suggestions (not Zpanel) then I will start to build 1. Let me know if your interested in helping

Unless you are an expert at all types of server administration already I'd suggest forgetting about it and buying one. I recommend PLESK.

This is def something you don't want to build and something I'd invest top bucks. I second Plesk, and you can get that pretty cheap, you can even have monthly payments.

How do you add or implement security packages?

Webmin has an update section that will update all it's components. I downloads the updates as an RPM and installs them.

I second Webmin. It is great if you have a few servers you need to managed. Webmin servers will connect to each other and you can cluster settings and users etc.

It is also possible to connect to any Webmin system on the network with only one Webmin server operating as a gateway computer. You can connect to a LAN ip via the gateway server.
