My domain name was put on registrar hold by enom. The business at that domain sells software (anti-spyware, etc). This is my business and my livelyhood, it has been in business for years.
I was not notified that they would be putting my domain name on hold, and now I can't even talk to someone on the phone to ask what is going on.

I have not made any changes to my DNS settings, whois info, etc for years. I'm not behind on payments, and the domain is registered through 2007. My business is in good standing with our customers. But now they can't get to our customer service section because the domain is down!

Have you ever heard of this happening? How and why can enom do this? What should I do? I'm losing thousands of dollars per day, and I'm furious. Can I take legal action? Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Hmm...that's a new one. That is generally done when the domain expires and has not been renewed by the original registrant.

A side note, you should try and edit your original post to remove your domain. It is against WW TOS to give site specific info such as that.

Back to topic...has the whois info always shown as it is now? Currently it shows Registerfly as the registrant and all the contacts. Obviously that isn't the registrant of the domain.

Did this recently change when it was put on hold? If not, that COULD be the problem as that is not valid info as required by ICANN.

Maybe someone else will have more info for you.
