I'm going to form an LLC, and have to come up with a description and purpose of the business. I have to create one that covers current sites/enterprises, and that also will cover any future sites/enteprises that I haven't thought of yet.

Like many of you, I build websites, slap adsense and affiliate links on them and then promote them to gain traffic. I've got blogs, forums and static informational sites.

I'm just at a loss as to what, exactly to call this: website development? online publishing? internet marketing?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

agreed...I listed as internet marketing...even though my main company now really doesn't have much to do with marketing. The company I filed DBA under used to actually be soley marketing however. No matter what if you change up your product, it's easy to DBA the first company and put a different business descrip for the new one. Also, these small technicalities are really not as crucial as you may think.

"Internet development and marketing"

(Since "marketing" doesn't imply anything on the development side.)

Any of the three you mentioned. I like "internet publishing and marketing." People see it and have no idea what we do :o)

"Publishing" especially suits for the business model where it is essentially a publishing one like subscriptions, events etc. I think you can add Network or Resource.

I like "Software Consultancy"....it is vague and covers just about most things you are ever likely to get into, whilst still a valid description of what we do today.
