Where do you go to trade newsletters, ezines, ebook copyrights etc?

The marketplace for domains is pretty well known. There are several good sites specialising in buying and selling domains, auctioning domains, catching expired domains etc. The same can be said for sites themselves - if you want to sell anything from templates/cookie-cutters/autogens to sites with solid business models and even with B&M attached - there are several good places.

But where do you go to sell or buy newsletters, ezines, or the copyrights to ebooks? With the volume of these online I'm surprised there isn't a well-defined market and sites specialising in the sale of these properties. Or do I need to learn how to look for them? If you've written an e-book and revenue is trickling in slowly but steadily you may be willing to take a lump-sum now to hand over to a buyer. You may be tired of writing your newsletter but if you've built up some regular advertisers it's probably worth something to someone else who may pay you well to take up the mantle.

OK, there's the 'Bay and usual site selling forums... and they may be good venues especially if you've got a site to sell with the ebook/ezine. And once you find a place you still have to decide a price (how to price an ebook [webmasterworld.com]). But, what else can you guys suggest? I'm looking for ideas rather than link drops but feel free to sticky a link if you wish.

c'mon, guys. Don't think in terms of selling, then - think buying. There are mega bucks in this. One of the best ways of expanding any business is by acquisition/mergers. One of the best ways of expanding most internet businesses is by buying those web assets that complement your own activities.

1. If affiliate programs are your game and you're hawking a certain widget (or if you're a widget selling merchant) then buying a newsletter that has a 200K opt-in list of widget hobbyists could leverage your income ten fold.

2. If you're a content webmaster then buying ebooks that are a few years old (and losing steam in the ebook market) could give you vast volumes of new and original content for the SE bots or for your Adsense ads. Saves dealing with hundreds of article writers at a dollar a piece.

3. If you're into selling links and already have a range of advertisers - just think about the deals you can offer them if you have a range of complementary ezines to sell them ads in as well.

4. If you want to increase your PR or inward links - break up the ebooks into articles and submit them to article directories.

No matter how you make your money there are opportunities in the buying and selling of these internet properties. Any comments, anyone?

OK, different question: Has anyone here ever bought or sold an ezine/newsletter (or site where the newsletter/mailing list was its main asset)?
