I am a long time web developer and I have clients who want me to manage their CPC campaigns on Google Adwords and Overture. Problem is, I really don't know how to charge them. Does anyone have good ideas. Suppose my client wants to spend $1500/month to advertise on search engines. What % should I charge to manage the campaign. It seems to me that 30 - 50% management fee would be reasonable, especially considering the time involved.

I know of many companies that charge a flat fee for this service. Does anyone know what profit margins CPC management companies are making these days?

I would just charge your flat per hour fee. No matter what money they make from your hard work :( or how many visitors they get they will be expecting to pay you by hour..

30-35% we charge.

I've heard that 15% is typical (because it comes from the established advertising industry), at least for big accounts ($10,000 per month in PPC and up). Donno for lower sums, but maybe a higher % will do.
