Hi all, If I'm in the wrong forum, please let me know ;-)

I'm trying to setup an autoresponder, so that even when I'm not available to answer emails, the sender still receives an email to say something like 'you're email will be answered as soon as possible.'

Is there a way of doing this for free?

I'm on Apache server and can use php if it's any help.

Any help appreciated..

Sev.

you can set it up on the actual mail server or in the mail client you are using.

Many thanks Jatar, I use OE6, but, as far as I know, the sender only gets a response, if someone actually opens their email - unless theres a particular way of doing it that I don't know about?

well, you could leave it running

do you have some kind of webmail access to the account? You can usually set them up in there.

I leave oe6 running 24/7, but the sender doesn't get a response until their email is *opened*

Not sure about the webmail bit, I'll look into that.

Any input from others here on how they setup their autoresponders at all?

Am I in the right forum for this subject?

If your server is running cPanel, there should be a page in the mail manager to configure autoresponders.
