Hello, I've been reading this board like crazy (it's addictive) and I enjoy hearing everyone's thoughts.

Here's my story, I have a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology (basically integrating computers into the classroom). All of the pages I do are done in Dreamweaver and I don't know too much about coding. I have had a personal site for years, I am in charge of our school's site, and I have built a few more for friends small companies. There have been people that asked my friends who built their site and asked if I would do one for them. I'm considering doing this on the side but don't want to get into something that's over my head. I never thought I could do anything like charge for my work but there are not many companies near me that do web design and the ones that I've found charge a small fortune for what seems to me to be average looking sites.
I'm doing my research and would love to hear some opinions.

All depends on which you enjoy more, most web developers start out by maintaining a few peoples sites (me included).

When you maintain someone's site do you just keep it up and running rather than build it from scratch?
