Hi,

I have used a well known website to find a supplier of goods from china. They are a trusted member and been verified.

THey only except money on wire transfer and western union though i would prefer paypal.

Is this asking for trouble?

Any advice im very grateful for i dont want to lose alot of money

ps they have a website which looks ok and there are contact numbers fax numbers etc.

They can not use PP, and WU is expensive enough. Like in my own case. Negotiate who have to pay transaction fees. But the potential trouble is not a money-transfer service but something else, I suppose. I have my own sad experience in this (work is done but no money sent) :(.

Perhaps you should talk to them about using an escrow service?

That way, the escrow service can pay the supplier (by WU or whatever) once you've received the goods.

What andye said.

Once you develop a relationship with them -- you can switch to direct wire transfers but definitely not in the beginning. Unless of course, if they can make some other kind of guarantee(s) to you.
