How to sell up and get out

I have done the SEO thing for a few years now. I have made a very small amount of money and it has provided an interesting and fun hobby to fill my time but I have now decided to move on.

The technique I used was to create hobby websites and submit them to DMOZ. When they were listed and gained their PR I would then place low key text link advertisments to my product pages. This allowed me to rank well in google as it gave me product pages with high PR, I have full control over anchor text and even flexability over the content on the linking page.

I want to sell these assets.
Where can I find a market to sell my high PR hobby sites for a good price?

I wish I knew, I have had the hardest time finding sites to buy. Everything I have seen on Ebay is really awful. I just want small content sites but there never seems to be any for sale.

I looked at ebay and found no one selling whole sites.

There were quite a few link sellers but the prices seemed, rightly, very low. When you buy a link for a year nothing stops the vendor selling many more links on the same page or diverting PR away from that page. That cant happen when you buy the whole site.

I'd seriously consider going into the business of creating and selling websites with real content and legitimate listings in DMOZ if I could get a reasonable price for them.

Hi, matt21811. You may want to check out sedo, it's one of the better places to buy and sell websites. Otherwise just do a google search for 'buy website' or 'sell website' and you'll find a ton of 'em. Good luck.

One thing with sedo is that if you confirm a bid to buy or sell then your are legally bound to it and legal action can be taken if you do not wish to pay to go futher. So do all your research before hitting confirm!
