recommendations on how to go about it

For our office in India, I am looking fot a Sr. Software Engineer/Manager who can lead our web development efforts; and can work with our outsourced partners to get projects delivered on BOT (Build , Operate & Transfer) basis.

Surprisingly in India there is a shortage of people experienced with large scale web projects. The idea is thus to import the required person.

I would like to look for the candidate in Eastern Europe and Russia. Can any of you suggest which job sites to post on; and give any other suggestions that might help in the excersise.

Do you speak russian? I think you have better chances in this case, so that you can do some search on russian websites.

Finding a russian guy on english website is hard, but possible. And you will surely have to pay triple price in this case.

In the UK, it's illegal to recruit people based soley on their ethnicity.

Try [craigslist.org...] which is read by audience world wide

joblist.ru - the biggest russian job site, use online translators to find the category you need and post the information in english.
