Performance Based eCommerce Services?

Anyone here offer their eCommerce services on a performance based model? I manage several sites where the owners have strong potential to significantly increase sales and I am willing to throw some skin into the game in order to share with the rewards.

I would be responsible for:
- Everything regarding the site. Adding products, other maintenance, etc..
- SEO
- Paid inclusion, PPC costs
- Link building
- Email campaigns
- Hosting
- Monthly reporting

Literally I need to drive traffic to the site and make it convert. The owner will only need to focus on fulfillment and customer service.

The above site has an AOA of $175 out of which I would take a 10% commission.

My questions are as follows:
- Have you ever done this before?
- If you have, how did you structure the contract?
- Was it successful?
- Are there any lessons learned that could help me.

Thanks and Regards,
Opie

I have ventured in these types of deals a few times. 2 times it lead to nothing, except me working a lot for nothing. The other time was very profitable, and I continue to enjoy revenue from this agreement.

If I had any advise, it would be to get everything on paper so that there is no misunderstandings. Also, factor in when things get 'busy'. Don't base your demands on how much time the site needs right now, you *must* account for when all your hard work on SEO etc pays off and you have 5 times the amount of customers.
